I had a job interview this morning with Zoos Victoria for a position based at Melbourne Zoo but working with Melbourne Zoo, Healseville Sactuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Hopefully I get it but at this stage will not find out until mid to late next week. I can no longer sit behind a desk getting old and fat. 20 kg's in 2 years is WEIGH too much for me. It's amazing what a toll it can put on your body. What better place to work than Melbourne Zoo. I don't think it get's much better than that and everyone have your fingers crossed for me.

Interview went for around 40 minutes and when I finished I asked if I would be able to take a wander around. So I ducked out to the car and got changed and grabbed the camera.

Thought I'd share a couple of pics. The camera is playing up so the quality is probably not as good as it could be.

Yes some more. I've got loads of pics but don't want to annoy you with posting too many.

I love the pic of the Mandrills. The little buggers kept on looking in the window as the keeper was working inside.

Agreed

i love the green anole. and the poison arrow frog. melbourne zoo's reptile house is great.

I got talking with a couple of the keepers there and they said they actually don't have as many animals in the own collection due to having there own exotics at work. Can hardly blame them.

Some nice pics. There is something about the Taiwan beauty snakes i find fascinating too.....can't place my finger on it though. I just like them.

good luck super fingers crossed!!!!

Good Luck!

Melbourne Zoo is fabulous. Probably heaps better now, its been about 6 years since ive been

Confused

no not that one.the one that you couldnt get any pics of?

You have me totally confused!!!! If I could'nt get any pics then I could'nt possibly post them here.

If you are talking about the enclosure it was totally dark and lit by some uv lights. It did look rocky and sandy though.

If I get the job it will be my shout at the pub near my place.........................or I will crack open the duty free bourbon and whiskey I brought back from Hawaii 2 weeks ago and share it.

Good luck shamous, i know a few blokes that work there and they love it
