I got another one this morning. He was about a meter and tagged me twice on the back of the hand. No pain, just a little blood. They tend to chew rather than bite which is interesting. They have quite a flexible mouth too.
 
These guys have their fangs in the rear of their mouths [as opposed to the front like most elapids] hence the chewing to get the prey item [your finger] to the back of the mouth for envenomation! don't let em!
