Add a word to make a story

OK everyone, since there is a song thread for a bit of entertainment, I thought I'd put this up. You add one word to the sentence to make a story. This has been done successfully on other forums I'm a member of

E.g - One day I woke up to find a

Someone would quote the above ^^ and add a word to make something like

"One day I woke up to find a crocodile"

and it keeps going.

I'll start with a sentence and from then on it's just one word, otherwise it will take too long to get a sentence started. Here we go:

One day, a young herper
