Hi All,
So I'm really keen on getting a central bearded dragon and I've been researching for the past couple of weeks, bought a tank to start getting ready last night and I'm fairly confident I have covered all the basic on what/what not to do.
The only thing that I'm not real sure on is how to set up the tank with sufficient heating, UV lighting and also ensuring that humidity levels don't rise too high.
I was think having an open top with heat cords under heating tiles along the bottom to maintain the overall 30-33 degrees with the basking spot of 40 degress being supplied by a ceramic lamp.
Is the UV light generally supposed to be over most of the tank or is it the same principle of a basking spot?
Also has anyone ever used a heat chord with the thermostats that just plug straight into the wall and heat lamp and have a thermometer that you place in the desired location or will I have to get something different? Never used a heat chord before
Lastly has anyone got some pics of their setup they can show me? Need some inspiration
Thank you all
