Right sized heat mat

So as u all know I've recently purchase an awesome thick-tailed gecko...my question is, with my 45x45x45 exo terra enclosure would the exo terra heat mat (Extra Small - 10 x 12.5 cm) would this be the appropriate sized heat mat? or do I need to go bigger?

Isn't the rule of thumb not more than 1/3 the floor area ?

yeah roughly aim for 1/3 of the floor area
