funny scales

hey guys,
just got jules out of his cage for the first time in a couple of days and noticed that the front part of his head from the eyes forward looks all shiny and strange and the rest of him still looks velvety as usual. im a little freaked out even tho it looks like whatever it is will probably be gone after the next shed. just wondering if anyone could shed some light on what it might be?

he just shed 3 weeks ago and he seems to average about 6-7 weeks between sheds :?

it looks like a pre shed to me, ive had pythons that have shed then about 4 weeks later have another one, i dont think its anything to worry about.

yeah but its just that section then it stops abruptly....i dunno it just looks odd cos its never happened before
