Windows 7

Has anyone had a look at the new Windows 7 ? I just installed windows 7 ultimate, going good so far. what are your thoughts?

Let me know your thoughts.

PM me if you want it. ( must have windows vista currently installed as it is an upgrade version)

I'm supposed to be getting it, but so far haven't been contacted.. quite irritated actually, considering its been on the shelves for a while. (Bought a new laptop from Dell and was told I'd get a free upgrade to windows 7 home premium after the 22nd of Oct). I rekon It'll turn up when I go home at the end of my exams lol.

I dont mind it, I had the beta running on my partition but stopped using it because i couldn't be btohered transferring all my files and programs over. might consider running it as a virtual partition to see if it works for me... PM sent though, got some Q's to ask

Seems to like it, no hickups and got his somethingerother (yeah i am computer illiterate) working on it that didnt work on vista.

I got that with my samsung laptop too, but i had to fill some thing out online. You might have to do that too.

Did that the day the computer turned up (ordered online, so waited 2wks for it to be manufactured and arrive) and it said I'd get an email when it was ready... I suppose its still early Nov. but its just annoying that its on the shelves, yet they haven't sent them out to people who have bought computers and are supposed to get the upgrade?

I filled out all the forms for the upgrade in August and got nothing back from MS. I emailed them last week to find out where my Windows 7 is and was told it could take 6-8 weeks for it to arrive
I've heard some good reports about it so far and really looking forward to a stable OS coming

i have been running ultimate since the first beta and beleive it or not i have not had 1 problem at all. I think its the best O/S yet.

Also the best version i have found is Windows 7 Eternity Edition by Rockers Team you can download it free legally from the rockers forum although you still need a legitimate win 7 ultimate key. It's optimised for faster booting and shutdown times.

i love vista! im possibly the only one lol...

Do yourself a favor.... Windows 7 is basically the same as vista, with a few more nice features and minus all the crap!

I've had Windows 7 Professional running for about 2 months or so now, and so far so good...everything runs perfect and smooth as though i had XP going. Definitely recommend it, looks great too.

I love it- added an extra 4 gig of RAM when i installed, for 8 Gig Total, man it runs fast- highly recommended...and if anyone can get their hands on a legit CD of a friend who has already installed it... but you have no serial number...., then PM me and I will tell you a little secret.....all you need is a real CD.....so if you know someone- borrow the CD and PM me...
