Yeah, Junior got robbed.
I was talking to him last week & he is devastated, Oganov will get eaten up by Mundine if he wins the contender.
Here's a pic of Junior & Roy.

Oganov won't win the contender.
PM me for any info on the show.

Roy is no where near the fighter he once was .
Roy could age very quickly in this fight and if he does ? I hope Danny will knock Roy out in the late rounds.
Danny went down to super middle for Mundine and Danny was clearly weekened by the loss of weight etc
but Mundine was excellant in his boxing performance against the dangerous Green .
Its quite possible Roy will outbox Danny for the decision but my prediction is for Danny to stop a fast aging Roy Jones Jr in the late rounds .
cheers Roger

I would love to see Danny win, but when a boxer gets older like Jones, what they lose in ability they make up for in brains. I think Green will come out quiet in one and two- Jones will wait and see...then when Green decides to step it up a notch in the middle rounds Jones will explode all over him....no doubt Green will have better cardio, but Jones is no bunny, and when push comes to shove and they stand toe to toe banging, I think Jones has him.

And don't forget Mundine beat Green quite easily, and trained in the States with Jones Jr and family; so Jones will know everything there is to know about Green thanks to Choc and will definitely carry more confidence heading into the fight.

But I would LOVE to see Green win with a stoppage.

Then smash Mundine.

I've always really liked Roy Jones Jr.
Danny Green just seems like a tosser, like most Aussie sportspeople.
lol, take a look at your own attitude throughout threads before you bag aussies. If you dont like it then leave the country :D

You rectified yourself in the end there! Mundine is the biggest toss their is, look at his record of who he fights. Green didnt even go into that fight to win, the whole time he was just defence, defence, defence. That was probably the worst fight i have ever seen!
And lets not forget what Mundine said about 9/11

Lucky I saved myself hey.

Yeah, forget about 9/11 man listen to what Mundine has said about everything- that mf has read way too many Ali books - and you are right mate- the only two times he fought real contenders he got floored - Kessler made him look like a chump and they say that was his best fight ?

But I digress....

GO GREEN.

Roger, Green fought at Super middle 168lbs 19 times, he's fights with Marcus Beyer & Eric Lucas were at 168 too, the same weight he fought Mundine at !!!
He got a boxing lesson from The Man, plain & simple...
Nothing to do with weight.

Thats awesome news about Roy Jones Jr. fighting Hopkins next year. Can anyone confirm that.

Craig, theres a huge difference between fighting at your weight which the previous fights you spoke of were fought at, rather than filling out with age, and dropping every spare ounce to make the weight once you have filled/bulked out. You cant honestly say that Green was running at a healthy balance, he had pushed his body a long way to make the weight, he didnt even look all that health.... that being said, he was owned, wasnt a stretch when a slugger lines up against a counter puncher, and the slugger was in sub-optimal condition (pushing limits too far is as bad if not worse than not pushing them enough).

I'm going for the green machine.. Like others have said, the only way Danny can beat Roy is to knock him out.
It will be a hard task though

Hope the Green Machine has a win!...But I honestly think Roy Jones Jr will be too good for him.

Green was filled out, its not as if he was fighting pro at say 18, then filled out into a man mid 20's and struggled with weight.
Blamming weight is a excuse.
Bernard Hopkins campaigned at middle weight 160lb from 1992-2006 at the age of 27-41

i"m with danny green, he grew up around the corner from me.
