So sorry to hear Thumper, our prayers are with you, I cant believe that the Gold Coast seems to have escaped unscathed.

:( MATE AM LOST FOR WORDS ....It is just so unbelieveable,I am gob smacked at the destruction ...I am also a luckier QLDER ,we only lost fences ,and were put out a bit from no phone or net access, but we are alive and still have our pets and our belongings ...my heart goes out to you all and wish you all the luck to be able to get back on your feet again xxxxxx

Thank you all for your kind words. My eldest daughter (10) kind of understands what's happened. My 6 yo daughter is just inconsolable.
With a but of luck we can all head back in tomorrow to assess the damage.

I think a trip to a pet store is in order...maybe we can start again with a puppy. At least that may brighten the day of the kids.

Thank you all again so so much

Thumper

and now it's heading here to Brisbane

Houses, cars furniture can be replaced, however lives cant,so as long as you and the family are safe and unharmed, thats all that matters..This is WOMD -Water of mass Destruction...Unfortunately it will only get worse til it gets better..75% is affected, thats ALOT OF QLD....

I'm so sorry for your loss. That's awful.

I'm in the USA and have only seen a few videos of the flooding--it's horrible.

Yes, a trip to the pet store is in high order!

Best, best wishes,

Bill

l feel sorry and my heart goes out to you and your family including your beloved pets, l to agree with russellman it would be kind if a breeder could donate to you a new pet Python.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. Our thoughts are with everyone in the flood areas during he difficult times ahead. Big hug to your family.

Thanks all. Returned to my house today to remove some of the damaged stuff and debris from around the house. Still knee deep but it's all receeding.

Thanks again :)

What an amazing online community here at APS

I can assure you the whole of Australia are either peeled to the TV or the internet following your plight..... hoping for no more deaths. This is just devastating, its not just the nature of the disaster, but the number of people affected.

Our thoughts are with you and all of those affected.

Yesterday, parts of Victoria were also underwater, with more areas affected today. obviously not to the scale of QLD. Seems like the east coast is under seige with the rain.
