do they ever grow out of it??????

ok i was just wondering if scrubbies ever grow out of the pooing & weeing on u when u pick them up???? & also while im on the topic how many of u out there have "tame" scrubbies????

i have one that wont bite but its flighty and will crap on you every chance it gets
has suprising aim too

The only experience I have had with them is relocating wild ones in port douglas, and that was standard m.o. for them . I did come across some quiet ones but they were generally smaller specimens around the 8 to 10 ft mark didn't have to shift mant smaller ones and the bigger
guys knew it so they carried on a fair bit. I have certainly been crapped on by plenty of scrubbies, keep me in the loop on its behaviour as i am considering adding one to the collection

I can only go on what I have experienced, but haven't kept one in captivity yet. I am only just starting to research the captive stocks, ie the bloodlines, for tempermant etc. there is always hope

Simply handle them gently more often
Their defecating is from fright more than anything else
Slatey Greys and a few others do the same until they understand they are safe with you

wild ones dont seem to hold a grudge as much as captives
mine is around 3 yrs old and doesnt bite but is still a very flighty snake they are not as easy going as a carpet they are alot higher strung

What sort of a defence is pooping on someone anyway???? I can understand biting but pooping.....i suppose though if I decided to attack someone and they pulled the old poop defence I would leave them alone.....maybe there is method in their madness.....

our spotted (not a scrubbie i know!) did it every single time we got her out. stunk like nothing else, but as she got used to us it reduced. Wont say stopped as it still happens every now and then, but at least not every time now.

My girl is over 3 yr old now and she has never peed or pooed on me but she has one mean split personality .One second she is an angel the next she will take your head off .Never let my guard down around her and will never ever trust her no matter how placid she might get as she gets older .

yeah my little boy has split personality as well. its funny 2 watch as my partner gets him out after a few good days & them wham bad day.
