afew pix of my new lil girl "Harper" ... Thank you to everyone who helped with names and who helped me find my way to AAE :) and thanx to the breeder (you know who you are ) :)....... Shes such a lovely lil girl , really inquisitive and very well mannered ! Very happy with her !

You recently brought a snake however you assist fed..WHY I gather it was eating fine for the breeder, you may end up with more problems assist feeding at a early stage..I cant see the point of it,wait a week and then offer a decent meal..

This is exactly why inexperienced keepers shouldn't be buying non feeders, poor snake. If it was feeding for the breeder then I feel even more sorry for it.

Still doesn't answer why do they need to be assist fed, some hatchlings are hard to get feeding but assist feeding is a last resort after you have tried every other option. Considering she only just got the snake she obviously hasn't tried all the other options.

I know, I meant she was only doing what the breeder was already doing

I think I did and am doing a pretty good job ! Shes happy and healthy (had her vet checked) and hopfully shell just eat on her own when shes ready but till then Ill continue doing what ive been told to do by the breeder !

How do you measure experiance ? Yah ive only owned reptiles for a year or so . But in that time ive read more books than I have in the rest of my life , watched more videos and asked more questions than anyone else I know ! Ive looked after my reps with no problems/no illnesses/no casualties etc so far ! (fingers crossed) ... And I believe everyone that has ever assist fed had a first time ,yah ?? I think I did damn well for my first time .. Maybe you should worry about your own "poor snakes" as you seem to have assumed alot about me and harper (which is false) and we all know what assuming make you !

Please give me in point form your other options ! cause ive tried egg, skinks and extra heating .....
