What happens after you have tail fed it if you try and push in a rodent behind the last "gulp" of tail? Or is it to skittish?

Considering I have managed to get every single hatchling iv'e ever bred feeding without resorting to force feeding I don't think my reptiles need your sympathy.
You have only owned the snake for a week or two & you have force fed it & apparently tryed every other method to get it feeding maybe you should try just leaving it alone for a week or two then try feeding it, yah!

Shes not skittish at all , so so placid she just lets me hold her doesnt even try and pull away and I put the tail in ,and she finishes it no worries, I put a pinkie in after shed had the tail and she grabbed it but then I looked through the container , must have scared her and she dropt it and wouldnt look at it again (stupid me , so mad at myself) ... But earlier today did the same thing with her , literally just went in and checked and the pinkie is gone . YAY !

So you dont have any other options ??? And I really do want to know how you measure experiance ??? Also love to know have you bred albino darwins ????

How would you measure experience? For example people are saying "ok so how do I breed snakes" people reply saying you have to be expericned. well everyone has to start somewhere, your not born being able to assist feed/breed naturally.
And wow 8 snakes, nice. I still have one, but I got a new levis and I'm getting a pink tongue and wheeleri soon :)

I agree ^ .... You can say its measured in so many ways, I believe Im getting to be on the lower end of what would be called experianced . As I said the reading , vidz, talks with other more experianced reptile lovers , asking questions etc plus I got the all the reptile meetings etc ... I think its kind of funny how alot of people who are experianced would rather belittle anyone trying to learn than help to teach them .
Its almost like they dont really even care about reptiles ,just the money perhaps , 'cause if they cared theyd be giving good advice instead of bad manners in the hope that learners would then be able to take better care of their reptiles now being armed with the knowledge the experianced have given them......But no they tell you your an idiot assuming things and not even asking questions etc ..... Mehhhh In "Real Life" people are never rude to me ! like NEVER , NO-ONE ! Weird huh ?

I wasn't going to bother replying but I feel I have to.
Where exactly did I call you an idiot or be rude to you, I did say your inexperienced but I don't consider that rude mannered. I may be blunt but I think it's fairly obvious I care about reptiles, if I didn't the thought of your new snake being assisit fed for no apparent reason wouldn't bother me.
If I were purely keeping for the money then I certainly wouldn't be selling my yearling clutch of coastals for next to nothing, I will barely make enough money off them to cover one electricity bill let alone covering the cost of hatchy racks, heat cords, thermostats & weekly feeding for a year.
If anyone's in it for the money i'd say it's the breeders that sell their hatchlings unfeeding, I see no reason for that other than a quick cash grab & I don't understand why anyone would support that by buying those animals in the first place. I personally would rather spend a bit more to get a hatchling that I know is feeding well.
No I havn't bred my albino's, this will be my first year breeding them but they are all morelia so I don't think at the end of the day that it makes all that much difference. As mentioned above I have bred my other morelia & with a bit of patience they were all great feeders in no time.
As for offering advice, I suggested you leave the snake alone for a week or so & then try offering it a feed & IMO that's the best advice I can give to anyone with a hatchling that's just been moved to a new environment.
I'm sorry if you feel I was too harsh but it really bugs me that people support breeders that can't be bothered to even get their snakes feeding before they sell them.

This is exactly why inexperienced keepers shouldn't be buying non feeders, poor snake. If it was feeding for the breeder then I feel even more sorry for it.

Yes I found this very rude and belittling , you assumed things that were untrue aswell . And as for "Poor Snake" when EVERYONE else can see how proud of her I am and how much I care about her , well pffft I dont even know what you were thinking saying that ! So yes in response top the above Rude , Rude and Rude !

And as now clearly stated I was only doing what I was told by the breeder/previous owner ..And everyone has to have a first time .

I still dont understand how people can go onto someones thread and put negative or mean things about the person and there experiences with snakes or what not If you dont have anything helpful or nice to say DONT POST !

^ exactly ! or if you have something that may come across as negative have the courtesy to say " dont wanna sound rude but have you thought about ......." or something at least tactful !
My mummy always taught me " if you have nothing nice to say , say nothing " so Im proud to say looks like she did a better job than lots of other peoples mummies , :p .....
And how can someone else measure MY experiance from this forum ??? You dont know someone cause youve read afew things theyve posted online !???

haha so true Torah people read stuff on the forum about you and they think they know everything about you

lol what ever, will take the advice of the people that have private messaged me & not waste any more of my time, it's pointless.

The way I look at it, Torah had a crack at something that "experienced" keepers usually do....and she seems to have succeeded to get a non-feeder feeding...
It's not as if she was force feeding a pinkie or fuzzy without trying anything else...its a rats tail...lol Well done Torah...
If theres a 100% proven method to get non-feeders to feed please share!!

Geez why you guys all pick on her?! Just because she puts spaces between words and exclamation marks doesn't make her different ;) :p
But seriously, I think you did a good job and are experienced enough to give out advice and try things, and I can tell you love your snakes :)

Thanx but im not really sure what I did , lol I tried everything . She seems to be really settled here ... All I can think is that I just spent abit more time with her than the breeder was able to give ....

what are her eyes like? if they're milky then shes coming up for a shed and needs to be left alone

she does have a pattern on her top half its just not as noticable as the bottom half is...her pattern will come through eventually and as lambert said, she could be nearing a shed....perhaps just keep an eye for it in the few days/week and see what happens..but she does have a pattern on her top half.
