I would definitely invest in some security bars or a roller shutter, I glass front shop makes it a lot easier to break in. You dont want a 3rd break in, whilst extra security won't stop all thieves it will stop most.

such a shame one cant electrify their shops, bit of a shocking experience for any lousy thief

so perhaps it is time to invest in upping the security because its very obvious they dont care especially if they are doing it under lights on a busy road, they know that even if they are caught they will just get their fingers smacked, the courts and the cops are just a big laugh to these ferals

if this one is a child i would look at engaging myself a lawyer and sue the parents for the damage and if hes a young adult then sue him personally

good luck, hope he is caught very soon but even if he is dont hold your breath for any sort of 'justice' to happen

Bloody hell, again?!?
Maybe you should expand your stock to include a couple of guard dogs;)
I'd lend you mine, but they're bloody useless, they'd probably help the bastards carry stuff out.

Hope you catch the useless mongrels.

Hi Paul, Just pay Ben a little extra & let him sleep there..;)
Seriously mate there are scumbags everywhere, you need 6inch square stainless mesh sheets securely fixed inside all glass panels, doesnt look too bad but they wont get through it in a hurry.
cheers,
Paul

Only problem is they might start driving cars through the shop which will cause massive damage.

Paul I hope you catch who ever It was you can never have enough security to protect all those amazing creatures you have there

Put the vid up so we can all get to see the numb nutted scumbags.Never know someone may even recognise them.

i wouldn't rule out that this break in wasn't set up to see how quick you and the police react to the break in , before they come back in a few months time to do a proper job , id be setting up the shutters as suggested and as abnormal said a few sturdy bollards on the pavement would stop them from using cars , but i guess youd have to get permission from your local council or whatever

this is why anacondas should be allowed here, coming into work and seeing a large thief shaped lump in a snakes belly would be all the security needed. hope they actually get some sort of punishment not just a fine

Have been told by police not to. We put in a couple of hidden ones after the last break in and it was one of those that captured them.

Yeah, heaven forbid the person is identified and caught.... Cops really are dumb, or regulated to the point of being totally ineffective.

What was their reasoning on this wonderful plan of capturing somebody by withholding their identity??

No idea! They told us it was not exactly legal to post the CCTV footage like we did last time! (probably something stupid like innocent till proven guilty) If we don't hear anything over the next few weeks we might just post the footage anyway. As you said, what's the point of having it if we can't use it to help identify the vermin.

A couple of bollards out the front fix that pretty quick.

I second that, I would do solid steel round bar railings down the walls and big bollards at the front door

Sorry to hear guys but glad they didn't get anything

I'm not claiming to be a legal expert, but I'm guessing the people in the footage probably aren't too likely to go dob you in to the coppers for showing their faces while vandalising your shop or breaking in! If the police are not wanting the footage shown because they already know who the criminals are it's understandable that they might not want it to go public, but if it's to protect the criminals' privacy or some such nonsense it's worse than stupid, it's irresponsible. Perhaps the cops don't care if you put it out there but legally have to discouraging you from vilifying people. It's a sad state when we have to look after criminals.

From the look of the damage, they were either just wanting to vandalise rather than break in, or they were pretty half hearted about trying. Last time sounded like some pretty serious, organised stuff. This looks like it might just be some local scallywag kids or idiots. If they did want to get in they obviously didn't think it through first, and even though they could have got in without much more work, they didn't bother.

Best of luck catching them and getting some justice. It's personal for you, but many of us would also love the bad guys to be caught up with. Did you end up catching them last time?

Could also be to not give up the positions of the hidden cameras. If they worked undetected this time and reveal their location/what they can see then you will probably have to move them to somewhere that may not be as useful.

I would "leak out" the video in here and YouTube and Gumtree etc.

What's going happen? Send you to jail?
I don't think so!

But case maybe thrown out in court - that's the gambling part you won't find out till you face a 'grumpy' magistrate...

Good luck catching the thieves.

This would be the main reason to keep the footage close to their chest.
