What floor covering is the Best for 6 month old bearded dragons i have been told that news paper deforms there foot and they may eat the sand

any help would be appreciated i am trying to set up for my beardys i am getting later this week

Newspaper deforms their feet???? Dont know if theres any truth behind that but alot of keepers/breeders on here would highly recommend paper due to its simplicity and hygienic nature (ie change it over and throw it out). Sand poses problems with impaction and breeders choice can have an impact on shedding issues and any insects breeding heavily within the substrate.

Hello,

Sometimes, the ink on the newspaper can rub off on their skin. Butcher's paper is good, or non adhesive shelf liner is good also. Alot of people use paper towels, too.
