I have 5 bluetongues (common and blotched) in a outdoor pit in melbourne.

Now that the weather is turning cold should I still provide food in the enclosure or wait until the weather starts to warm up again?

Most of the lizards have dug in for the winter but every so often I see one or two still out sunning themselves which is why I am wondering if they still need food.

Regards David

They tend to cease feeding by now, Especially the blotched in my experience,
In Syd I leave dry food and water for them and it gets nibbled at so to speak.

Because I can leave it for a few days and it doesnt go off, then I give it to the wifes cat.

oops, sorry thought it said why,
I just use a dry cat buscuit, non fish variety.

I second that notion. Generally around April I stop feeding but still provide water.
