Hi guys, I recently got a childrens python hatchling (3 weeks ago) and I find she's always very snappy, now I heard childrens pythons were very placid. but obviously this would vary, I do understand that. I've been handling her the past week or so and she's still very snappy until she's being held and she will calm down and great. And then, as soon as I put her back in the enclosure she turns around and strikes, is this just her being cage defensive or something else???

usually a snappy hatchling is a good feeder. if your is feeding fine then i suggest not handling it at all until it's big enough and confident enough and it will calm down on its own. you'll get the odd one that won't.
