Basically I noticed my yearling bredli has sand clogged in his or her heat pits. I was just going bath the snake in some warm water and try to clean it it out with a cotton tip.

However I figured on ask people on here if they had any ways of going about it.

That's one of the many reasons why sand is not recommended as a substrate for snakes. It gets wet, has a bit of clay and other crap in it and it turns to a glutinous mess that clogs things like nostrils and heat pits up. Warm water will get rid of it on the snake, you should get rid of it from the enclosure.
