Hey gurus,
I'm after some clarification, are these guys even mildly venomous? I always thought they were a little bit....
But trusty old reliable wikipedia says no...

Cheers

Ok... Is it the idea that the bacteria is bad and can be classed as a type of venom or something? I caught one the other day, very pretty little fella, and very tame. Don't worry I let him go lol.

They apparently have a mild venom in their saliva, but nobody has ever reacted to it and the worse you'll get is a bit of itching, but most of the time you wont have any reaction whatsoever.

Can you show me some links for where you got this info? Every link on Google says they are non-venomous

Thats because they are harmless, and the venom thing is a recent discovery. There was a great big info thread about it a while ago, I'm trying to find it.

They are venomous but will not harm humans unless you are VERY unlucky. They have a very inefficient venom delivery system with its teeth being too small.
