Hi all, I've just started breeding fruit flies over the past couple of weeks. I have heaps of them now, but I'm wanting to use something different to feed them (I've been using over ripe banana, which has worked really well, but is smelly). I've heard that sugar, mashed potato and yeast works well, does anyone have experience with this? If so, please tell me all you know! I'm particularly interested in knowing whether or not you can freeze the mash mix. If no one knows much about it, I'll use the old trial and error method and if anyone is interested I'll tell you what I come up with.

I also now have a supply of wingless Drosophila, if anyone is after any.

Nah, I'll leave that stuff to Bryony and Slatey! Cleared my sinuses until next winter!
