As for the cage on fluoros they don't put out much heat so your snake can't get burnt but may break it if the snake a fare size.

I been making enclosures for the last six years so - there here any time unless I get sick of it.:lol:

My worry would be that they climb up in between the tube and the fixture and get stuck and burn or pull it out and break it.

Has this happened before.
