Hi all

My jungle hatchling seems to be shedding more than normal. It’s around 5 mths old
The previous owner r said that it shed once every 2 mths but and since I bought it 2 months ago it have already shedded 2 times in 4 weeks?

It last shed on the 24 May and it seems like it’s going to shed again today? (milky eyes, dull skin colour etc?)

Since the last shed it only fed once. And prior to that I feed it every 5 – 7 days on pinkies rats and 3 day old quail.

Is it normal?

Cheers

Happens sometimes, usually no problem. What are your temps?

around 26-27 for cooler side and 31- 33 for the warmer side.

not a problem, you would of just be feeding the snake more then the breeder was. shedding = growth = healthy snake

They sound fine. I have an adult GTP female which used to shed every 3-4 weeks, but I stopped heating the enclosure at night and she has dropped back to every 8-10 weeks which is probably more normal, so it must have been the constant heat.
