Just wondering at the feed value ratio between mice and rats for a 14mth old RSP.. she's on adult mice right now and smashing them down happily. They seem to be a good size for her, though doesn't leave much bulge in the tummy. She weighs in at 170g. Is there any nutritional value in switching her to equivalent weight rats in the upcoming months.. I know rats have higher fat content.. is this beneficial for young growing snakes, or is it irrelevant and just stick to mice til she is way larger? Thanks.

Once your Snakes get to a certain size/age it's better value to feed them Rats, because you end up only have to feed one Rat, to say, 2-3 Mice.
I believe there may be some difference in nutritional value for both, but the difference would be very minimal.
Plenty of people have healthy Snakes that have been rasied soley on one, (or the other) or a bit of both.
Same probably goes for Rabbits once your Snake is eating 2-3 Adult Rats.
