Asian house gecko.. large spikes (tubercles) on the tail.

Agree. Spikes on tail shows as Asian house gecko.
Also the difference between Asian house gecko and Dtella is that the Dtella do not have a claw on their inner toes of their feet.

this is prob a super dumb question and im sure someone will tell me it is , but how did it get here??

Asian House Geckos have spread over various continents, they are the most wide spead reptile on Earth, they stow away in cargo ect and adapt readily to new environments if temps suit, they love human lighting as it provides warms and food and will do well in any tropical / sub tropical climate that humans occupy.

Where did it come from?

It was found in a shipping container full of rice from bancock . but the person who found it thinks the container may have stopped in queensland. so i'm not sure if it came from asia or hitched a ride from QLD.

cool thanks Jason. if u find one are u allowed to keep it or do u need to take it to be destroyed?
