I was cleaning out my shed today, getting ready for the big move to Darwin and I saw some geckos. I'm used to seeing the asian house gecko but these things had a great pattern on them. One was a bit lighter than the others and had small spines on the tail. Would these be native gecko's?
I also found a large snake poo which had me worried as I've had a small brown snake in there before. I live in the Katherine area if that's any help with the ID.

Could be D.ciliaris, but asian house geckos do have a pattern during the day, some quite nice too.

How big were the spines mate?

Probably just an asian house gecko.

Having said that Ive found a fair few cilliaris in Katherine on the road that goes to the gorge.

Any chance of pics?

The spines were quite prominent on the lighter one, no spines on the darker ones. I tried for a pic but they are quick little buggers

AHG's with their original tails have spines, with regrown tails they are spineless.
