Hi guys,

I know ackies aren't the cuddly type but is like to be able to handle my 3 without causing them too much stress. At the moment they fight tooth and nail if I manage to get hold to clean their tank.

Any advice greatly appreciated:)

My understanding with monitors is that it's a trust thing. It takes a fair bit of time and patience but you need to let them see you aren't a threat. So just stick your hands in to clean or replace water bowls but don't touch them. After a while they see your hands being in their space isn't such a bad thing and then you can progress to trying to touch them and then eventually to actually holding them.
I've heard of people also holding food with tweezers part way up their arm so they have to climb onto you if they want food. I'd be a bit reticent to try this approach if they have a really strong feeding response though
