Hi,

I'm currently based in the ACT and am looking at the idea of getting my first lizard (an Eastern Bearded Dragon). I am however having a small amount of trouble locating info on licencing requirements in the ACT, and was wondering whether anyone on here can point me in the right direction...

Also, my partner and I are moving to Adelaide later in the year, and I need info on whether I can take the lizard with me? If not, I'll probably hold off till we're there.

Thanks in advance, I look forward to getting to know some of you :)

Cheers

Howdy,

Don't know anything about ACT licensing (google ACT Fauna (or reptile) license)

but if you only want one animal, it may be worth waiting, as in SA you can have the one Bearded without a license; you can have one of any BASIC protected animal without a license (again, google South Australian Fauna permit)

but you should be able to take it interstate, if ACT approves an export permit, and SA an import permit...SA's import/export permits are free, dunno about ACT

goodluck!
