hi all..
i reciently bought this snake(when i say reciently i mean tuesday)

i was told it was a coastal carpet, but when the paper work come it had coastal carpet on the liciencing paper work but imbricata on the box..

to me it looks much more like a imbricata and looks nothing like the 3 coastals i already own..

plus it is much smaller then my other 3 at the same age..

what do you all think

not sure, coastals can look very very different from other coastals.

Either way, it's a nice looking snake and from what I hear Imbricata's are hard to get over here.

It might be a blessing in deguise.

yeah i know...ive owned and caught 100s of them being a ex snake catcher on the gold coast..
but this one just seems a little different to all...
colour, attitide, size and temperment all seem different

hoping so,,
but he was smaller then i thought,,,better looking than i expected,,
i only bought him because my other male is on loan to a mate...

so it might be up for offers very soon..

bought as a male but not certain yet till after he settles for a couple of days...
is about 4-5 foot long and told 3 and a bit years

i will when i get the opportunity,,
but he was sent to temor and i cant get through to him and his wife knows stuff all..

Look almost exactly the same as my Imbricata or South Western Carpet Python
Attached a pic for you to compare

Could indeed be an imbricata, has characteristics of both imbricata and mcdowelli by the look of it...

Jamie

Id be happy to call it Imbricata too. Nice snake.

i'm gonna say coastal, thats just what i think

i was told that its wild caught parents came from 1 hour south of margaret river W A

would that make it a mcdowelli ?
