We are getting a 7mth old Blonde Spotted Python in 3weeks - already named YoYo. This will be our first snake. I have a 4year who has been hassling me for a snake for 2 years. He used to carry around a plastic snake called Slinky everywhere he went, until his two year old sister bit the head off it. Hence, I am asking enclosure questions

We have a click-clack but also a 60x30x60 terrarium with a lock. So we plan keep the click-clack locked in the terrarium to start with.
My question to start with are:
1. How old is a Spotted when they reach about 1 meter?
2. I have read Blonde's come from Cape York. Does this mean they like a more humid environment?
3. The YoYo's house will be in a room that doesn't a lot of direct sunlight this time of year. We also live in Sydney. Should I get a UV lamp instead of just a heat mat?
