I'm very keen on owning a Shingleback (or two!) and I'd like to know what I'm getting into.

1. First off, how much do they go for in Queensland? I've heard of them being as low as $50, but I'm assuming that's in WA, where they're much more common.
2. How much would the initial startup of 1-2 of these guys cost, in terms of enclosure, lighting, heating etc.
3. How much does feeding cost per week?

I'm assuming that a lot of this is answered in general bluetongue caresheets and such, but I'd just like clarification :)

1. Not to sure but probably anywhere between $100-$200, maybe a bit more.
2. Cost of lizard/s ($100 - $400), Enclosure ($150-$400, or you could diy), Lights+extras ($50+)
All prices are a very rough estimate.
3. They are omnivores but mainly plant orientated. So probably a few dollars a week or you could grow your own veges and fruit.

Here is a decent caresheet for them. VHS » SHINGLEBACK LIZARD
