What is this? See pic. We've had a few of these in our Sydney backyard (has sandstone). The cat is too effective at catching them (even though she's only allowed
outside occasonally when we're home) so I figure we should consider raising it to adulthood rather than release it for the cat to catch again. It doesn't seem injured other than the tail loss.
I've spent hours looking up species and the closest match seems to be
a cunningham skink.
Any suggestions? We've temporarily got him in a bucket with damp leaf
litter and some yummy looking slugs.
