Just wondering where people have found wild Lace monitors spending their cooler months? Are they generalist or is there a tendancy to specialise, say, arboreal over terrestrial sites, for example?

I have found lace monitors around northern nsw Fingal to be excact from juvs to adults all year round even in winter roaming as per usual basking up in the trees and even soaking in the lakes.
Also in somersby around somersby falls more scavenging around the bbq sites mid winter, more full grown adults though.

WOW! Thanks for that, so active for most of the year. I guess this is the case with alot of QLD animals also? I've only ever observed Southern/ Highland NSW/ Victorian populations (Northern Grampians, East Gippsland) and never had much luck over the colder months.

Yeah well I think cause of the swampy area it is quiet humid we find water dragons coastals all year round also and its a very quiet area not alot of people so they must love that!!
