I am converting my hutch/buffet into hopefuly several enclosures for my snakes. I was just wondering for 5ft & 6ft Coastals will they be alright in it, the size is 5ft length x 1 2/3ft depth x 1ft high there are 2 of these sections 1 on top of each other in the bottom part of the cupboard and the top hutch part is just as long & high but not as wide.

For Carpet pythons you want something high rather then longer as they are Semi-arboreal. The minimum for a Carpet python it 4x2x2. For my Jungles I'm going to be building 6ft high x 3ft wide x 2ft deep, something around them measurements would be ideal for a Carpet python.

I hope this helps.

I can take out the shelf which would make it the same in length & depth but double the height.... darn it, is going to be an awesome enclosure.... now will have to buy more ground dwelling snakes to put in there
