Escaped pet you think Phat? Looks in good nick, was it approachable?? Now I have no excuse for not moving to the Top End:)!
 
That's a BIG scalaris:)! Could have applied for a permit to keep Phat? Or advertised for the owner to come forward. I've heard there's a few up there on permit. They seem to cope better with the tropics than around Alice Springs though.
 
Last thing I ever thought I'd find in Darwin was a sober backpacker :D

Also, I'm guessing a NSW coastal animal originally, going by markings.

my guess is it bit the owner and they though bugger that. Even the little monitor bites (ackies) hurt more than the pythons i reckon

Should be easy to ID the original owner then Phat, the one with missing fingers or a limp:)!

Seriously, if you treat her well, she should be a sweetie (except food time).
 
Def mine, I'll drop by and grab her. She is from the Anindilyakwa line. :)
