Well I was sitting inside watching tv when I heard some squeaking and choking. I raced outside to find this. A snake that had struck this wild mouse and was still killing it while I watched. I am wondering what this might be though? I saw him a few weeks ago on the rafters out on the deck. I was thinking possibly keelback? Although he seems to be vastly different in colour to the ones we usually see around here. If you need some other pics from different angles I might be able to upload more. any help would be great

cheers

It's a BEAUTIFUL Brown Tree Snake! A gorgeous colubrid, mildly venomous but not dangerous, nice find! Especially in the backyard, you lucky thing!

Ah excellent, thanks for the incredibly quick replies! It is amazing how quickly he ate the mouse and he even took it bum first!

Thats cool Ray, it's how we roll around here......
