Off to Malaysia (KL) in a few months and looking for suggestions on accomodation please.

Don't need names of hotels, but would like to know where is most central to shopping and eating. Say you were going to an area/street most central, where would it be?

Basically we want central accomodation where we don't have to get on public transport to head into the hub of activity.

Thanks!

I went last Sept and we stayed at Hotel Istana. Right next to Buket Bingtang. We found you could walk everywhere from there :)

Hey dude. I have been to KL a few times and love it. Pretty much anywhere around Julan Bukit Bintang is good and right near shoppig and eating plus a short walk to other places. We also walked to Chinatown and central markets from there but it is a bit of a walk which we don't mind.

We choose to stay at the Park Royal hotels around Malaysia as we have found we like them and they are a good price. We stayed in cheaper accommodation one time and swore never again.

If you want some info on where to go, what to see and where to eat just let me know. I'm envious. I wish I was there right now down hawker lane eating a curried stingray wing and fish head curry.

Hey guys.
Thanks for that. I had pretty much decided on the Sheraton but looking at its location its over the other side of town. Well, only about 2.6k from Bukit Bintang but that's too far when you are walking everywhere in Malaysian humidity. Therefore I think we have decided on The Grand Millenium. It looks ultra convenient and is said to be ON Bukit Bintang walk so I think it might be the way to go.

Will PM you Squinty!
