There was some on pet pages in Noble Park and two in Ballarat not long ago. I am guessing you are talking about the marbles you don't need a licence for. Maybe? This is a marbled velvet gecko.

Marbled geckos in Melbourne seem to sell from 25-35 dollars at a lot of reptile oriented petshops.. if you wandered round and had a look or even made a few phone calls they are not that hard find...
