As my last thread was saying i was looking for advice on a first snake.
I was looking at childrens, spotted and stimsons pythons.

I have now got myself an old fish tank that is 120cm (w) x 40cm (D) x 50cm (H)

i was wondering

1. if a backhead python is a good first snake (feeds well, temperament etc)

2. how long this size enclosure would hold this type of snake

3. if there is a better frist snake to live in this size enclosure

any help at all would be greatly appreciated as i'm having a hard time deciding what type of snake to get :)

Thanx all.

(ps cant get a woma for the class of liscence i will get.)

This isn't really related, but your fish tank - theres no gaps in the glass that a a hatchlingpython could slip out off is there (if you get a hatchling...)

My advice would be to get whatever type of python you want. There is no one python that stands head and shoulders above the others! Pick the one you like the look of the best and jump in... asking for an opinion will get you just that dozens of differant opinions...
