Weird question but just wondering if moss in a prelay box ever needs to be changed, if so how often? Will it do something weird from being moist after a while?

Just wondering as I am considering putting in a prelay box for one of my snakes, she hasn't shed yet but I was certain I saw ovulation about 5 weeks ago, and she is looking a tad plump. Just want to be on the safe side and thought it wouldnt hurt.

I used it for my girl as she was coming up to her prelay, i put it straight in from the bag (moisture wise) and i simply sprayed it every couple of days to prevent it completely drying out. She liked to coil up in it a fair bit.
In the end she didnt use it to lay :(

So id be fine to keep the same lot in there for weeks on end without changing it?
