Murray Darling and Slate size

Hi,

I have a MD and I am about to undertake converting an old TV corner unit.

I want to put in a basking slab (slate tile) for him and I would like to know if the standard size (300mm x 200mm?) will be large enough once he is fully grown?

Looking at the size of my MD when she is curled up I would go 300x600.
