Hey all,

I've been wondering, what's an acceptable night time temperature drop for bearded dragons? My current day time set up has the cool side being high 20s, the warm side being low 30s, and the basking spot being 40-45 degrees, which (from what I've read) seems pretty good. What I'm wondering is, should I turn the heat light off at night to allow it to get cooler in his tank? If so, how cold is too cold, and a point when I should start adding some night time heat?

I currently use a red heat light (for his basking spot, and just generally heating on the warm side) - which doesn't seem to keep him awake at all, but I've recently seen people say they aren't good. Should I get a white light for day time and a ceramic heater for night time when needed? Any advice is appreciated as usual :).

(Also my beardie is going well, still being stubborn and not eating his greens, but working on it :-/ )

Thanks,
Cam
