Hey all :) I've seen a bit of stuff written and said about "nippy" breeds of snake. Coastals tending to be one that's frequently mentioned, I have a 3year old coastal who is most definitely NOT nippy, nor have I met another nippy coastal, that being said I've never handled a hatchie. Just wondering if the same applies to other so called nippy breeds?
Are scrubbies more likely to be aggressive than nice?
Does anyone else have the view that coastals are more likely to bite than not? My coastal is pretty cranky when I pull him out of his viv but doesn't strike .
Just curious to read other people's opinions :)

By nature some snakes are inherently gentle and some are just grumpy. IMO it may involve several factors including but not limited to; species, age, feeding regime and handling techniques.

Yeah I agree. A lot can go into a nippy snake. Some snakes are some snakes aren't. Just depends really.
