i was just wondering what sort of paint to us in my enclose when painting fake rocks/branches

Go with a non toxic and then just seal it to protect it..

clear coat in a spray can

I'll have to check it out, I'm painting the inside of a melamine cabinet at the moment and will need to seal it next weekend. I was going to use epoxy resin but the spray can sounds easier.

pondtite is one of the best sealers. It's safe for use in aquariums and ponds so it's good for reptiles too. Have you joined the DIY Group? You'll get some great ideas from there
