How many does he have and roughly where? How old is your carpet, what are you feeding it on and is it wild caught?
Left field here, but there is a parasite (I know of the tapeworm, although there may be other types also) that resides under the surface of a snakes skin, creating a little bump. You can slit the top of the bump and squeeze the worm out, effectively removing it and solving the problem. (Although it really isn't neccessary as the parasite will die off anyway, but I digress)...
It could be feasible, that if you are just squeezing this 'pimple', you could be pulverising the worm inside, making the little white worm look like a white pussy puddle. However, these worms are usually the result of feeding on frogs or lizards and you don't often get a whole pile of them at once, just (usually) one or two over a fair period of time.
