Hi every 1 I am new to this forum and need some advise on heating hatchlings. I am soon to get a couple of these guys and am worried about the temps in my tank. I have a custom built 4ft wooden enclosure with glass sliding doors i have a 60 watt basking light in 1 end with a heat mat underneath and a uv light that covers the howl tank. the hot end is at 30 degrees with a basking temp of 40-45 degrees and the cool end around room temp is this ok or should it be hotter.
any information will be great.

That is perfect mate. 40-45 for hatchlings is spot on.
Just make sure that they can get within 10-20cm of the uvb light and that it has a rating of 10.0 :)
Be sure to show us some photos. I have a female and I use 60w basking globes for her.

thanx so happy to hear that it is ok could you tell me how you cared for your girl when you first got her
