just wondering if anyone knows how to ween my python onto little rats from mice as im having troubles trying to get him to eat suckling rats any ideAS would be apperciated.

My Bredli had issues moving from mice to rats. I defrosted a rat and mouse together (Scenting the rat with the mouse) and fed them both to her. Since then, she's been on rats!

What ive done in the past is wash a rat,just with water and rub the rat with the mouse,once the snake smells the rat in which should smell like mouse,hopefully it will take it.Once it starts eating dont rub the rat as much with the mouse.In time your snake should take the rats.I had a Darwin that would only eat mice,tryed scenting with the mouse,no worrys.Now he eats,chicken necks,rats and mice,basically whatever is in front of him...

You can also try trail feeding. Get it to take a mouse, then when the mouse is almost down but it's mouth is still open, put a rat in it's mouth and it should just keep eating. In time it should take rats by itself.

you can also tie the rat to a mouse with a SMALL piece of cotton.
Or if you breed toss the rat in a mouse cage for 1/2 hour
