Reptile Auctions?

Hey all,
i was watching some videos the other day and heard a couple of people mention that they got some animals on online auctions? This was America though, and the animals were from big breeders, but was just wandering if anyone knows of anything like this that is more local? As would love to check it all out and maybe even find a nice animal at a great price. Once again this is probably what some big breeders do to get rid of some animals that they can't seem to budge?

alot of reptile clubs have auctions at least once a year.
inquire at your nearest club..
Think the mid north coast auction is next friday if i recall.
