Unless I am missing something. Under this code you can keep an 8 ft bhp in a cage with a floor size of 900 x 600.
To me thats animal cruelty, and to small, yet people are complaining.??
So your average 1200 x 600 x 600 enclosure which everyone has known for years should be a minimum for their class C adult pythons, fits the bill.

So can someone please tell me what the real problem is?

You can even buy tubs that are 900 x 600. Its a different type of keeping, being intensive, but still ok under these sizes.

If anyone finds these sizes to whoppingly big, I feel for their poor animal.

Are you saying that they cannot enforce breaches of below if they wanted to? Somehow I think not!

At least in Victoria they base the enclosure sizes of the size of the individual reptile not the species on a whole.
