It could be picked up via imaging techniques such as xrays etc, but unless you could see an external abnormality or feel an abnormalilty via palpation I imagine it would be quite hard to diagnose in a standard check up. If your taking ur other python to the vet again, maybe ask him what the possibilties could have been that lead to your pythons death. David Vella is a very good vet.

search through my threads buddy i had a snake do the same thing, i think the thread is OMPV.

Not sure if thats what my lil fella died of but there is no real way to confirm it except for a autopsy...
