I've searched google but I've made myself crazy with trying to match this guy up with photos. I found a similiar one, but there was no size reference, and the stripes were more gold than yellow.

Anyways, found this guy in Coopers Plains, while exploring the stormdrains. Almost stepped on him! He was quite friendly and cute, and spent a while running around on me in circles.

Picture sitting on my back for reference of size. =)

Eastern Water Skink,
They are usually a lot quicker than that - must be a bit cold for them yet.
Cheers
Adam.

Yeah, he was quite cold to the touch, which was another reason I moved him outside; it's pretty damned chilly in those stormdrains. He looked blissful sitting in my hand in the sun. So cute too.
Thanks for the ID!

yeah Rose the eastern water skink gets nice aqua blues and golds when in full colour.
Nice bronze down there back. Great looking skink.
I have them everywhere here around my yard,

The other skink I cant help with, looks a bit like a bar-sided,
Cheers
Adam
