Small Eyed Snake??

ditto fuscus, they always seem pretty tame to me

I have found most to be tame, some though go nuts and multiple bite any object in front of them, not many but some.

I know bugger all about snakes but have just found one at my home on the Central Coast of NSW. It was approx 30-40cm long about twice the width of your index finger, black with a pinkish red bottom. My gut feeling was a red belly but now having read these threads I am thinking maybe a small eyed as if it is a red belly it could only be a juvenille. Anyone got any thoughts?
Sorry about being so unspecific but its all I saw.

I have found loads of Small-Eyeds over the years, and they've all been well behaved. I can only recall one ever striking at me.
